Fab Ride in the Grey City

What to do in a crazy city coated with snow and sunk in water, where you can not find any taxi or friends to take you "from here to there"?

Well...you scale a few town mountains, you make some ice show, take some trip photos and finally you get to the tram station...You see the tram, you wave your hand as if the tram would be the usual NY taxi, you get in - of course in the wrong tram, pissed off you get off and then you start walking and hope to find the old friend called TAXI.

You don't succeed, then you take a sit on a border stone, start skimming the Harper's Bazaar and blogging.

     When you loose yourself just look in your left carefully and be aware of the fact that anytime, anyhow, anywhere, there's someone who offers you the absolute comfort, love and magic, anything that you need when your world seems to be a totally mess.

- EL NEGRESCO HOTEL.

Constructed by Henri Negresco, a young determined romanian man, in collaboration with Edouard-Jean Niermans and Gustave Eiffel,
EL NEGRESCO became one of the most sumptuous hotels in Niece and simply amazed us.

This year, in only 20 days we took a series of decisions of which we are very proud and another set of which we are not so very proud and we won't say a word even if you give us two Chanel 2.55 :))

Let's start with the blondie.

She decided to:

wear more black - probably Paris or brunette's influence, who knows

dye her hair and never cut it again

stop the shopping sessions weekly marathon

build another floor on top of her fab shabby chic decorated apartment - this is just a dream, lets face it:))

drive her new car which is waiting for her since july 2011

Now that you've found enough for today about the blonde half,

let's talk about the brunette's decisions.

She decided to:

get married - we are joking, don't faint or something:))))

wear more color. neon colors. H&M S/S collection convinced her & of course blondie's colored spirit

cut the long Rapunzel hair - she still sighs over this stupid decision. Let's ALL cry and moan!

visit NY with the blonde half of the team

buy 5 pairs of shoes in one day - OMG is this a 2012 switch of roles?

Sometimes we make crazy trips just to see&feel the sea. This time we had a Cote d'Azur beach therapy. Short, but fabulous!

It is what it is...

...a bright, sunny afternoon, a long walk on the beach, palms & golden sun beams, fantastic friends and three fur coats who&which entered the next phase of their lives dressed head to toe in LOVE.

IS...the time when we think that maybe mistakes are the things that make our fate... without them what would shape our lives? Maybe if we had never veered off course we wouldn't fall in love, have babies, or be who we are.

After all, things change, so do cities, people come into your life and they go.

But it's comforting to know that the ones you love are always in your heart... and if you're very lucky, a plane ride away, more specific in Paris, where we'll be back in just a couple of months ready to develop new projects.

Thursday evening, 17 nov, we had the pleasure to take part of one of the greatest fashion events in Romania - Avanpremiere '9th edition' - a multi-brand event, which reunited at MNAC over 400 guests and 12 hot romanian designers. Both backstage&front row atmosphere were simply fantastic and we've been very surprised when we discovered the "Acvatic Ring" Collection by Natalia Vasiliev, a fascinating story of absolute ocean creatures feathery extended in human beings. We also had a crush for Silvia Serban black&white Collection, a manifestation of versatility, and Carmen Secareanu Collection&show.

And because Avanpremiere - Fashion and Lifestyle Fest, is a modern and complex manifestation dedicated to arts and the new century's lifestyle, the magic event was simply fabulous from the smallest details, models, make-up, music, videos, set-up, atmosphere, to the 12 collections: Agnes Toma, Rue des Trucs, Sandra Chira, Alexandra Abraham, Carmen Secareanu, Teodora Baciu, Natalia Vasiliev, Bianca Popp, Ioana Ciolacu, Silvia Serban, A&S Negulescu and Iris Serban. These days we visited the H&M showroom quite often and of course we absolutely loved the experience every single time.

Why?

First of all we absolutely love Diana and secondly, we had to see the H&M spring/summer 2012 Collection and the so controversial Versace for H&M items. And we both left the builduing drawing up in our minds the perfect wish list...the green dress, the orange boots, the white leather biker jacket, the yellow jacket, the Versace for H&M necklace, the leather jacket & the pink belt.

After a few quite cool H&M events and four Paris Fashion Week outfits designed by them for us, we once again say that we'd proudly wear a spring-summer 2012 item - anytime, anywhere, anyhow.

Ours started home with Marshaway fabulous friend drinking a fabulous Merlot from Golden Diamonds girl, a short, but intensive hour of gossip (we sometimes do it - let's not be hypocrite), Lana del Rey and some good, heavy moments of laughing. And continued in a expected, but cool manner, in a SexTowerUndergroundPower location, with a fabulous party, followed as you know by the Ab Fab Fair.

A modern Ariane movie with Audrey Hepburn and Gary Cooper retook in front of Ritz, Place Vendome, in a contemporary manner with quite nervous characters...surrounded from the first moment by photographers, street style bloggers&too many people asking for details about whom these characters are, where are they're from and where are their outfits from.

This was and still is a very special moment for us, a beginning of new collaborations, new projects, new relationships and new people interested in finding more about our Absolutely Fabulous Magazine, Romania and Romanian young designers, the Romanian fashion industry and our work.

Our first "Paris Fashion Week" day

TAXI!!!!

To Ladurée, Bonaparte street!

First day, exhausting flight and hard working days left behind...

All we needed was just a very to very very sweet afternoon...a late brunch, macaroons, tarte citron, tarte framboise, millefeuille, les religieuses de Ladurée, tea&coffee - all we could wish - everything in one cozy, fabulous and amazing place.

After 3 hours spent enjoying a magic brunch with our lovely friends from Spain, Ale K Sandra&Ade Lina we went to Marais tu unpack our humongous luggages - full of romanian designer items, H&M A/W and S/S collection items and Jeffrey Campbell shoes.

And because there's always a God...behind the blue door...was our mirific apartment, a fairytale garden and a very vintage like furnishing atelier - exactly what we needed to be sure that after every "Fashion Week" day we have a fabulous place to return and refresh ourselves.

And if you're still asking yourselves why do we seem sad, it's just because we were so so so tired...

Inward we were simply elated!

The next day we were brand new and you just have to stay tuned to see the proof. :))

How would it be...

How would it be without friends who come in the middle of the night just to hug you when you just broke up with your boyfriend, friends who buy you gifts with no reason, friends who listen to you telling the same story for the1758 time, friends to whom you can yell at and never get angry because they love you too much and know you too well...how would it be? Probably miserable!

Sometimes in life you get to know these people accidenttaly and fall instantly in love with them, sometimes life puts you in tough situations, takes you something, but just to give you back another thing, a more important one. That's how we met and it wasn't easy, but the feeling that we should stay together was always stronger than any other barrier.

And what we know now after enough hard times is that a true friendship is when you accept the other, love him and be there no matter what and share once in a while a poetic-roccobaroco moment just for the fun of it.

Yeah! You should try it! Lots of calories! Fancy clothes! 'How to learn french' books! Friendship Colour Dolls for everybody! And a crazy Sunday afternoon to remember!

The dreamland of every girl

Have you ever had a dream that came true when you expected less?

Yesterday we have been invited to visit the H&M showroom.

It was a pretty dull day, brightened up easily by a fabulous friend and host, Diana,
an amazing cappucinno and yummylicious items from spring/summer H&M 2012 collection.

It was heaven on earth. We couldn’t imagine that the showroom is so cool and fancy.

Fortunately or unfortunately the showroom isn't dedicated to everybody, but only for press and celebrities.The products that are displayed are not yet on the market so we were extremely happy when Diana gave us gifts from the future collection.

We received two heart shaped bags, a red coat that you will be able to find in stores in October and a dark grey one that you will be able to buy very soon, at the end of September.

Because we are absolutely in love with our new 40s coats by H&M, we will dedicate a new post next week to this fab items.

TO POKER or NOT TO POKER

Whether he likes it or not, a man’s character is stripped at the poker table; if the other players read him better than he does, he has only himself to blame. Unless he is both able and prepared to see himself as the others do, flaws and all, he will be a loser in cards, as in life.

But what happens when you seem trapped in a pokerface game and you cannot read some of the players in your life, because you believe that everyone has dignity, everyone is honest&scrupulous and always plays by the rules?

It happens you get involved, start trusting people, investing feelings and time in relationships with no real future.

So one thing we know...we hate poker games and not because we don't understand the hidden rules and always lose the pokerface acting, but because we don't like dirty games and pretenders.

We always remain the same women, with same habbits, same coffees in the morning, same styles, same values and same aspirations, always dedicating ourselves to creating beautiful things not only for us, but also for those around us.

It happened one evening, while we were enjoying a marvelous-peaceful vacation in Spain with some very good friends of ours, when they opened our eyes and rewrote our story just for the fun of it and just to make us realise, once again, that we cannot change poker-faced people from our past, no matter how much we would like to do it.

And this is the sad true... nobody can make them see the TRUE reality and their mistakes (that have been already forgiven).

But all that matters is that we are the same inside-out, in front of all the judgments. We are what we are & we are what you see with no extra efforts and no other crackers.It's just our life and the fab aura exists only thanks to you all.

breakfasts, many coffee breaks (our favourites), photo shootings, Rhea Costa dresses Illy Issimo branded especially for us, wild nights in the club, a short, but special moment with Moby, Saint Tropez outfits, laughs&bliss...

...and every time we hear it we promise to ourselves to listen&sing it on a future road trip to the seaside...and finally we carried out our promise...

Summer Break with fab friends

If you ever felt like leaving everything behind and just take the first flight to BCN for a few days of unconditioned love&fun...you will understand us and our short trip to our beloved Ade Lina& Ale K Sandra.

We felt like we were 6 years old again, we laughed like we haven't done it since we were teenagers and we enjoyed Tibidabo Amusement Park like no other park we have visited before.

The oldest in Barcelona, the park retains most of the original rides at more than 500 m high, the highest point of the Collserola mountain range. This makes the mountain, also known as the Magic Mountain/ Fab Mountain for us, one of the most amazing lookout points, from where you can see the splendor of the whole city and enjoy the beauty of the sea beyond.

For us it was more than fabulous to spend a whole day with our lovely friends, drinking coffee&coke, eating junk food for lunch and raw food for dinner, enjoying the rides and attractions, taking, as usual, too many photos & recharge our batteries for a new week.

It was simply Tibidabouslicious!

A game called friendship

After a light summer edition of Absolutely Fabulous Fashion&Vintage Fair we realised how lucky

we are to 'play' everyday the game of friendship with so many special people and always be the

winners of such wonderful friends.

They endowed us with hours of laughters, hugs, love & joy, moreover we’ve all had precious moments from breakfast to dinner, tea time to wine time, mornings to evenings and many other ambrosial presents we instantly ate&drink up - red wine, pralines, chocolate mousse, cherries, romanian cakes like amandina & many bottles of Salitos.

Is it possible to wish for more when you are simply surrounded by love, honesty and candid figures and so many glasses of wine :)) ?
We thank you all for two beautiful days and we are waiting for you in September at a new edition

If you've already decided what's your favourite coffee, chosen your close friends to have your coffee with, your favourite outfit and the most precious pair of shoes from your wardrobe, then it's time for you to decide what's the adequate fragrance for your personality and also the proper moment for you to discover the creativity and artistry of a real perfumer.

That's what we did in an ordinary morning, while we were having an amazing breakfast with our lovely friends, Ioana, Ruxi&Alin.

We have decided that we need a new fragrance and there was the answer, in front of our eyes, BEAUTIK Haute Parfumerie - a luxury parfumery created for unique personalities and spirits, a modern Faust, transposed in the exuberance of flavours & also a very chic boutique.

Lots of fragrances, many hours spent searching for the best essence, a very sophisticated atmosphere, very well trained advisers and again lots of rare and nonconformist scents...Fleur de Rocaille 2004, Lady Vengeance, Not a perfume, Montaigne, Lady Caron, Iles d’or, Nirmala, Un air de Molinard, Le Vainquer, Josephine, Eugenie, Apome pour femme, Apom pour Homme, Aqua Universalis, Bouquet de la Reine, Santal, Fleur, Quelque Fleurs Royale, Duc de Vervins...

....and finally the fabulous winners: Juliette Has a Gun "Not a parfume" & Lady Caron

Five days till the Absolutely Fabulous Fashion&Vintage Fair, summer edition,
18&19th June, @ Cafepedia Romana,
and we are still working on it.

...fab illustration by Tudor Codreanu (again), fab gifts,
fab deco details,
two floors, elegant fab fragrances,
fab exhibitors, many vintage&designer items
and fab contests...and yet many other things to do.

But what would our life be without short, but significant breaks called shopping sessions.

Because we already know the answer, in the middle of a very busy weekend
we worked out a wish list and we also managed to purchase everything
we had in our mind in less than two hours.

After a few weeks of continuous work, many days&nights spent at the office coordinating our projects&events we finally had a break, an ecochic one.

A sunny day, lots of friends, fab music, a new fab location with shabby chic deco details, many glasses of rose wine, lots of vintage items & a fab "sustainable fashion" collection by miniPRIX - a Fabulous PR&Events event.

But what happens in a Saturday afternoon when you bring together only fabulous bloggers&stylists?
You simply have a lot of fun, very stylish outfits and recordable moments alongside fabulous ecochic queens: Ioana-Liliana Gheorghe, Medine, Andra Moga, Madalina Dragoi, Teodora Mocanu, Anaivilo Borsa, Cristina Pana, Oana Zidaru and two lovely women: the blonde Mara Cristina& the brunette Elena Soare.
